What's happening with the Indy Reads and Giving Sum grant partnership? There are many opportunities for members to become involved -- volunteer, donate books for the store, and more. Read more about the partnership and progress. 

Thank you the Giving Sum volunteers who helped move a truckload of free bookshelves from Borders to IndyReads storage in late December. Thanks to Borders (and our free labor!), the IndyReads Books now has all of the bookshelves that it will need. 

The Bookstore location is almost finalized! Stay tuned for the big announcement.

The IndyReads book drive is kicking off this week! Indy Reads is collecting used books, CDs, DVDs, and games for the bookstore. Whatever is not suitable for the store will be sold, so please do not hesitate to give something that may not be in excellent condition. How you can help:

1. Bring your donations to the next Giving Sum meeting or to a community collection box (stay tuned for the locations of these boxes)
2. Offer to host an official collection box, particularly if you work for a large organization. (You will be responsible to get the books to Indy Reads office)
3. Host an unofficial collection box. (Email your co-workers and friends, and use your desk and front door as a collection site!)
4. Spread the work with your own contacts and use social media
